Hand Couture: Put Yourself In Someone’s Gloves
Our Gloves’ histories
Tears of Joy
This glove model is inspired by Simona, a woman who, due to scleroderma, had to face the possibility of not becoming a mother, finding herself before a very tough choice: try to have a child or continue with therapies. Thanks to research and listening, today Simona has the most important thing in her life: her daughter Gaia.
“The doctors informed me that there would be another therapy, but it would be very invasive. Among the side effects was losing the possibility of becoming a mom. We decided to pause the therapies to look to the future and have a child.” – Simona
A soft glove with a pearly sheen in warm ivory tones, featuring delicate hand- embroidered teardrop-shaped crystals that transform into a heart: a symbol of pain turning into joy and hope in succeeding, against all odds, in fulfilling the dream of becoming a mother.
Rooted Hands
A glove enriched with floral and vegetal motifs inspired by Federico’s story: the flowers represent the greatest gift, that of the closeness of his loved ones, vwhich allowed him to face the diagnosis with an optimistic outlook toward the future.
“I am an optimist by nature. Only the perspective has changed, but life remains the same. From the moment of diagnosis, I have tried to live every day with the same enthusiasm as always. The only thing that changes is that now I perceive its preciousness more.” – Federico, patient
Flowers and colors that thus become a symbol of joy and serenity, but also of strength, resilience, and comfort: an invitation to continue sharing even the most painful moments with the people closest to us.
It was precisely this attitude that brought Federico even closer to his wife and children, strengthening already deep bonds and transforming every daily gesture into a conscious act of love, presence, and shared hope.
